How to insert Gallery block to Squarespace 7.1 Sections
Squarespace users are quite familiar with Gallery blocks and use them to insert galleries of images and videos to pages and blog posts in multiple layouts. On 7.0 templates, you can insert the blocks on any place that support blocks.
Unlike 7.0 templates, on 7.1, regular users may not allowed to insert Gallery blocks on all places, I have produced a work around to bring back Gallery blocks on 7.1 Classic and Fluid Sections! Check it out here Classic Gallery block
In case you are wondering where are the default supported areas of the Gallery block, checkout the compatility table like below

After activation, the Gallery insert still works as before, here is how the Block Inserter looks like on 7.1 Sections:
Inserted Gallery blocks will work exactly like the blocks that are inserted on other areas such as blog or product additonal info, so rest assure the blocks interactions and your customisations will still be working as before!
Bonus
The inserted Gallery blocks are 100% compatible with Lightbox Studio, allow you to zoom and group lightboxes on your site
Also with Lightbox Studio, your Slideshow - Stacked - Carousel Gallery blocks now can be lightboxified, allowed them to display their images on a lightbox!!
