How to Activate and Update settings for Plugin

Below is step by step instruction for installing Beyondspace’s plugin on your Squarespace websites

Place Installer script in Code Injection

After purchasing the Squarespace plugins on Beyondspace website, you will be navigated to the post-checkout page where you can grab the Installer script used to upload the Squarespace plugins to your website. Most of the time you will be asked to place the Installer script into Footer Injection of your website.

The Footer Injection usually can be accessed via

  • Website Tools > Code Injection (under Not Linked) > Footer

  • Use this freebie tool Admin Quick Access

Please check the video below for more info

Update plugin settings

Once the Installer script is finished, it’s mean the plugin is activated on your website with basic settings, and if the plugin has the Live Playground like Lightbox Studio - Squarespace lightbox zoom plugin, you can change the plugin’s settings to fit your needs.

First you may want to try all the provided settings in the Live Editor, once you done, switch to Code tab of the Editor and copy the generated code

Then find the existing snippet in your Code Injection to replace it with the newly generated snippet.

Check the below video for more details, I will update settings of Lightbox Studio design to Extended and enable Download button by default

Tips: each plugin has a unique identifier and its generated snippet will be wrapped inside the opening and closing comments blocks, please keep this in mind when replace the existing snippet. For Lightbox Studio, you can see the open and close comments are

  • <!-- sqs:beyondspace—lightbox-studio --> and

  • <!-- /sqs:beyondspace—lightbox-studio -->

That’s the whole process of activating and update settings for the newly purchased Squarespace plugins, if you have any question don’t hesitate to contact us via [email protected]

PS: we always value customer’s feedback, so once you got it up and running, please send us some words at Trustpilot reviews. That would mean a lot!
