Below is step by step instruction for installing Beyondspace’s plugin on your Squarespace websites

How to Install and Update plugins

Install the Plugin

After purchasing the Squarespace plugins on Beyondspace website, you will be navigated to the post-checkout page where you can grab the Installer script used to upload the Squarespace plugins to your website. Most of the time you will be asked to place the Installer script into Footer Injection of your website.

The Footer Injection usually can be accessed via

• Website Tools > Code Injection (under Not Linked) > Footer

• Use this freebie tool Admin Quick Access

Update the Plugin

To update your Beyondspace plugin:

1. Copy the Latest Installer Script: Revisit your post-checkout page or plugin account and copy the updated script.

2. Paste the Installer script into Footer Injection in new line

3. Save: The system will detect the plugin and update it automatically.

Your plugin will now be updated with the latest features and fixes.

How to update plugin settings

Some plugins work right out of the box, but for advanced tools like Lightbox Studio or Squarespace Datepicker, you can customize their settings to better suit your needs. To simplify this process, I’ve created dedicated playgrounds where you can easily tweak the default configurations.

Here’s how to update the settings:

1. Visit the Playground: Access the plugin’s playground, where you can explore and adjust various settings

2. Change the Settings: Experiment with the available options to find the perfect setup for your website.

3. Copy the Generated Snippet: Once you're happy with the settings, switch to the Code tab and copy the newly generated snippet.

4. Replace the Current Code: Navigate to your Footer Code Injection area in Squarespace. Locate the plugin snippet (marked by unique opening and closing comment blocks), and replace the existing code with the new snippet.

Using the Datepicker Playground

The playground makes it easy to customize your datepicker settings without manual coding. Here's how:

   Visit the playground in Squarespace datepicker landing page

2. Load Your Current Site Settings:
   Input your website URL into the "Your website" field. This helps the playground retrieve your current configuration for a seamless update process.

3. Customize Your Settings:
   Use the intuitive interface to update datepicker rules, styles, or other preferences to match your website’s requirements.

4. Replace the Snippet:
   Copy the generated code snippet and replace your existing datepicker snippet in the Footer Injection section of your Squarespace site.
