Reuse Gallery images with Squarespace Summary block
On 7.1 we can’t use existing gallery like 7.0 templates.
We can use blog post items to store our gallery images and display them on the page with Summary block, that way we can reuse existing gallery images across pages without have to re-pick images into the Gallery blocks
Insert images to blog
Create a blog page and insert new posts
Click on three dots to edit the post image and excerpt if you want
Click Edit and change the post title and click Save to submit changes

Choose the blog with images you have uploaded
Change the Summary block layout and other settings
Summary block supports those layout option: Wall layout - Carousel layout - List layout - Grid layout, these Galleries below are the Summary blocks pulling images from the same Blog pages

Question: How images can I display
Though we can insert unlimited items into blog post, the Summary block limits the items to display at 30 items max. You can install Lazy Summaries plugin to increase this limit.
Question: Can I hide the publication and other info?
Absolutely, you can change how the meta info is displayed by change the Summary block settings
