How to lightboxify Squarespace Portfolio gallery
Following up on our recent proposal to enable lightbox functionality for Squarespace portfolio projects, Iām excited to announce that this feature is now live!

Squarespace 7.1 Portfolio pages come with five different layouts, and Lightbox Studio now supports lightbox functionality for two of them:
Grid: Simple
Grid: Overlay
How to Enable Lightbox for Your Portfolio
To turn your portfolio page into a lightbox gallery, follow these steps:
Find Your Portfolio URL Path:
Navigate to your portfolio page and get the URL path. For example, if your portfolio URL isexample.com/projects, the value you need is/projects.Use the Lightbox Studio settings:
Open the Lightbox Studio playground, input the/projectsvalue into the provided field. If you have multiple portfolio pages, separate each path with a comma.
Notes
Gallery Scanning: Lightbox Studio will scan each project page for a gallery, either in block or section format.
Fallback to Project Page: If no gallery is found on the project page, users will be redirected to the actual project page instead of a lightbox.
Compatibility with Universal Filter: The new feature has been thoroughly tested against the Universal Filter for portfolio pages to ensure smooth compatibility and functionality.
